Build unstoppable middle school mathematicians

By the time students reach middle school, gaps can widen and learners may already think of themselves as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ mathematicians. The truth is that every child can reach their full potential with effective support. DreamBox meets all learners where they are—and gets them to the next level—by providing the right next lesson at the right time, every time.

COMMON CORE

Please visit the California State PTA website for more information on how to best assist your child with Common Core.

Our children’s school assessments are changing. Gone are the multiple-choice, fill-in-the-bubble tests, now replaced with high-tech opportunities for our kids to show what they really know through writing, critical thinking and problem-solving — real skills needed for real-world success.

The new assessments offer a more complete snapshot of your child’s progress, so your child’s score will appear in a new way. These brand-new tests are too fundamentally different from the old exams to make any reliable comparisons between old scores and new. That’s OK. This year’s test results will only establish a baseline for the progress we expect students to make over time. With the new assessments, parent will ultimately be able to see the growth in a student’s scores from year to year. The reports will likely go to parents in late summer.
