"STEAM CELEBRATION!"
Rosewood Park School is inviting all our families to finish the year strong by creating a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Project.
All projects will be displayed on our website, with grade-level winners to be showcased at our Virtual Open House on Thursday, May 26th at 5 pm. Please read through the information on this page for all details regarding your family projects.
Our theme is "STEAM CELEBRATION" focusing on all the different aspects of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. We ask our students and families to use it as a guide to build, create and structure their projects.

THEME EXPLAINED
Let's have fun with STEAM and end this challenging school year with a learning celebration! NEED IDEAS? Explain the Science of SOUND with a do-it-yourself musical instrument or get together with friends and family and jam with your own cardboard instrument band. Engineer a rollercoaster structure or marble run that makes us scream with excitement. Electrify our senses by designing a circuit light show. Dazzle us with a STEAM magic trick like levitation or your own amazing illusion.BE CREATIVE, HAVE FUN, THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX, AND
CREATE A PROJECT VIDEO THAT USES YOUR TALENTS AND PERSONALITY TO
CELEBRATE STEAM!
VIDEO RECOMMENDATIONS
Student video submissions should include:- An Introduction (name, grade, teacher)
- An Explanation of the STEAM health concept
- An Engaging Presentation of the project
In total, each student presentation should be approximately 3 minutes in length. Sound effects and graphics are encouraged, but not required.
Horizontal videos, please!
SOUND QUALITY A MUST!

Video presentations may be new to RPS students and families. We encourage our student presenters and families to be relaxed and let their personalities shine. We discourage reading from a script. There is an opportunity to move beyond traditional tri-fold projects. Video projects teach students to plan, organize, write, communicate, collaborate and analyze. Video requires students to be able to express themselves as effectively through moving imagery as with the written word. Families are welcomed to work together as a TEAM.
